This is a step-by-step guide on how to connect electricity to your home. This is typically done if you're building a new home.
For advice on your electricity needs and the type of connection to be established, please contact your retailer or electrician.
Alternatively, view our flowchart representation of the process.
Download the New Connection application form.
Complete all necessary sections of the application form. Some of the information on this form may require input from your electrician or builder. See Help for completing Forms A&B for more information.
Once completed, send the form to your electricity retailer.
Your retailer will contact ETSA Utilities to establish the connection. We will install, adjust, maintain and read your meter (four times per year) as well as maintaining the junction box and wiring leading from your home to the network.
We will establish the new connection as requested.
Please note that information shared between ETSA Utilities and your retailer remains confidential.
