How to alter your connection

This is a step-by-step guide on how to alter the electricity connection to your home. For advice on how to alter your connection, contact your retailer and/or electrician.

There is also a Flowchart representation of the process available for download.

Step 1: Complete the application form

Download the Alter Connection Form.

Complete all necessary sections of the application form. Some of the information on this form may require input from your electrician or builder. See Help for completing Forms A&B for more information.

Step 2: Send the application form to your retailer

Once complete, send the application form to your electricity retailer.

The retailer will contact ETSA Utilities to perform the necessary alteration. We will install, adjust, maintain and read your meter (4 times per year) as well as maintaining the junction box and wiring leading from your home to the network.

What happens next?

We will perform the alteration as requested.

Please note that information shared between ETSA Utilities and your retailer remains confidential.
